Truck of the Month
Rich – Finger Lakes, NY “This
truck means a lot to me since it’s my first new truck. Since
its all black, you can only imagine how many hours spent just keeping
it clean. Our
daughter runs around the house saying “Hemi’s rule”... and
“Yeah it’s got a Hemi in it”. Her
uncle drives Ford vehicles and she can really rub it in. I'm
very proud to say I’m a Hemi Truck Club member. You guys are great!” |

Truck of the Month
This
is my second Mopar truck and I absolutely love it.
I took an already great looking truck and made it my own with
some chrome and decals. I
feel it should be considered a "truck of the month" because
it looks great and sounds even better thanks to the dual exhaust.
It turns heads all the time and makes me proud to drive a Hemi.
With 68,000 miles, it has high miles for a 05... but I can't
stop driving it! |

Jay Matthews – New York “I
was never a truck guy until a few years back.
I bought a used 02 Ram 1500 QC 4x4 with the 4.7 and I loved it.
I had it for almost 2 years and wanted more power so I traded
it in for my 07 Ram 1500 QC Hemi 4x4.
This is the first new vehicle I have ever owned and I could not
be happier with it. I have
had it for just over 5 months and have been modding it since day I
drove it home from Indiana. There
is no stopping me once you get bitten by the mod bug.
I would have to say my favorite mod is the Corsa cat back
exhaust system. Not only
does it sound amazing but it has dual 4" chrome tips!
I love seeing people turn their heads when I drive by them.” |

"AZ 04 Hemi” I
have had my baby since September 2004; she only had 6 miles on it. Now
she has over 60,000 miles on her and she runs great. I
have done a lot of work on her in the last year since joining this
site but I think the most exciting mod would have to be the L.E.D.
lights. They are Depot
L.E.D. tail and 3rd brake lights (tinted) with a Plasma Fire/Ice light
bar. I get a lot of looks
and comments on these lights while I’m driving down the road. People
just love the look of the lights and I have to agree with them. This
picture was taken at Lake Havasu.

hope you like the list I made about my truck.
I have owned it since it was new, and I have built it up for
the past (going on) 4 years. It

daily driver. I drive it
60 miles a day as a combined total of going to UTI everyday. It is at
84k miles and has never seen an award like this.
I don’t plan on getting rid of it anytime soon either.

Unlike my wife,
who feels that a vehicle is ‘just a mode of transportation’, I
think of my truck as an extension of myself. It is definitely
my ‘labor of love’ and I take great pride in how my truck
looks. There’s nothing better than walking up to it in a
parking lot and seeing it thinking, ‘Man!! That is a BAD Ass
truck!” It started out simple... Bedrug, Undercover bed cover,
Alpine head unit. From there, it just snowballed…..Superchips
Tuner, Taylor shorty plug wires, Cold Air Intake, custom center
console sub box with 10” sub and the latest and greatest mod….my
22” Chrome SRT10 wheels with Pirelli tires. Lesser mods include
Flowmaster 70 series muffler, painted calipers, Powerslot rotors
with Hawk pads, Second Skin Damplifier Pro throughout, custom
formed floor mats with the aluminum RAM heads, and painted dash
bezel. I promise my wife I’m ‘almost finished’, but can you
ever REALLY be finished???? |

Truck of the Month December 2006 Scott Harris, Salisbury, MD Forum name "Dreamin’ HEMI"
I originally purchased the truck
as a work truck, but changes to that plan happened after I
learned of this incredible website. I started with the homemade
CAI and torsion lift, then the bug got me. Shortly after I had
to change the grill, add the Superchips programmer, and after
saving for a while... a LONG while, the suspension lift came
along with the wheels and tires. Man, I've got it so bad
now!!! I look at magazines everyday it seems, and check out
websites to find the next good mod. I hope I at least make it
into the "finals". I would be honored to wear the HTC.com TOTM
decal on the back window. |

Truck of the Month November 2006 Bob Polaneczky, from Oreland, PA Forum name “UNCBOB" My wife got rid of her 1988 Ram Charger and bought a 3rd generation QC 4X2 in 2002. I loved it and was going to get a Regular Cab Short Bed for myself, but read in Trucking magazine that Dodge was coming out with the Hemi so I waited until April 2005 to order. I saw they were coming out with MDS in 2006 and didn't want that, so it was the 2005. I knew exactly what mods I wanted up front, so three hours after it came home it had wheel well liners, a billet grill, and bed rails on it. Shortly after that, the mirrors, cowl, and wipers got painted. I did the sanding and prep myself and the pro’s did the painting. Then it was the “Rattle can” for the Air Dam-Fog Inserts and Bumper Inserts. Bumper grill type insert followed next. I saw the Rumble Bees and loved the ground effects, so the ground effects and a sport rear bumper were added. Decided I liked the non-chrome look, so the handles and bed rails went the paint route as well. Then the grill shell and front bumper followed. A LED Third Brake Light was painted to match was next. Then madness struck and something I thought I would never do happened... the truck got a 2/4 lowering kit and 20” wheels.
A Checkmate
tonneau cover finished off the appearance mods (maybe). For
performance I went with an Aero Turbine AT3030, True Flow air
filter, Pacesetter Mids (Group Buy at HTC), and the Superchips
programmer. Been a fun, but expensive modding adventure! |

Truck of the Month October 2006 Phil Adams, from K-Vegas, NC - Forum name “K-Vegas" Take a work of art from Dodge, then add a custom paint scheme, custom interior and other design touches, and you end up with our 2006 QC Hemi Mark III Custom. This is our fourth Dodge truck and it’s the best we’ve had so far. This is the South Beach edition and turns heads no matter where we are. It is never a case of mistaken identity. The truck sports a vertical stainless steel billet grille and full length fiberglass running boards. Along with high performance 20” low profile tires and wheels, and the double cowl induction hood, this truck really stands out. The interior includes full Katzkin leather seats with inserts to match the exterior blue. Billet door locks, headrest spacers and pedals are also among the many touches that make the inside of the truck as unique as the outside.
The first
performance modification to the truck included an AIRRAID CAI
and a Superchips programmer. Other enhancements include
traction bars, LED light bar, and of course my favorite; a Hemi
Truck Club rear window decal. |

Truck of the Month September 2006 Lori Bates – Kansas - Forum name “Lori" It's not just a truck. It's a family tradition and sweet memories. All of my life there has been nothing but Mopar products in the driveway. There were three New Yorkers, a Volare' I wrecked at 16, the Dodge Omni Turbo, a D-50 Ram, the 67 Plymouth Fury III my dad bought me as punishment for wrecking the Volare' (back then I thought it was punishment). My own Dodge Colt, Dodge Diplomat, Intrepid, 97 Grand Cherokee. One of my fondest memories is of the first time I was put in the driver's seat of my dad's big old Goldenrod Yellow Dodge Ram Club Cab at about age 6. On Saturday mornings we would climb in, I would hop over the seat into the back, flip down my little seat and ride to the country. When we got to the pasture, dad would sit me in the driver seat with my foot on the brake, put it in 1st and tell me when to take my foot off the brake. I would steer it in a straight line through the pasture as he threw hay bales off for the cattle. We would load back up and head to town and spend a half hour or so at the local cafe and have us a bottle of pop. There were lots of fun times for a little tom-boy with dad in that big yellow dodge. He loved it and so did I. It gave us years and years of service. Dad had several heart attacks, the farm went and so did the old dodge. I can remember how he fell in love with the Cummins Diesel when it came out, but he never did own another truck. The Ram truck has come a long way. 4 Doors and full sized back seats, automatic 4 wheel drive you don't have to get out in the mud and snow to lock the hubs, great stereo systems; all the bells and whistles that old yellow ram was missing. This is my first Ram of my own. My beautiful black '03 1500 Hemi (Laramie Package) is not only my pride and joy, but a family tradition. Right now, she's just stock, but a truck my dad sure would have been proud of. She's a hard working service truck and a comfortable family traveling ride. Daddy passed in 2001 but sometimes when I drive my truck, the memories come flooding back of those days with daddy out on the dirt roads in a big yellow dodge. She's more than just a truck, she keeps me connected to a past and memories I treasure and for that, she deserves truck of the month.
Still Making
Daddy Proud! |

Truck of the Month August 2006 David Crust – Lethbridge AB - Forum name “Albertahemi"
Here is my 2005
Dodge Ram 4x4 QC SB... it started off as a Hemi Sport edition,
but after seeing a few out on the road, I decided to personalize
mine to make it a little more unique! Starting with some R/T
emblems and the classic Mopar ribbon around the box, along with
debadging and removing everything except the r/t emblems, the
truck was finally a little different from everyone else’s. My
favorite mod has to be the GSM Supercharger... with 390rwhp, the
big quad cab 4x4 has many kills under its belt, including
SRT10s. I'm planning on adding more power eventually, but major
mods will be required. This is my first Mopar, and I'm glad to
say it won’t be my last - long live the Hemi! |

My
2005 Hemi Ram SLT is my first Mopar and I love it!
Dodge Rams look good right from the factory and I
believe a nicely kept stock looking truck is very
attractive. The color is light almond pearl metallic.
This photo was taken at Kenlake State Resort Park with
the Fenton Bridge over Kentucky Lake as the background.
Driving my truck around the lake area is a delight.
My favorite mods are the Superchips Flashpaq, the home
made ram air tube, the high flow Amsoil nanofilter, the
Airaid MIT, and the G-Tech Pro. There will be more
mods coming. My truck looks good and runs good.
Total strangers have complimented the looks of my

grille in the nose and bumper, & had the stripes painted on it.
I also have installed custom lights, street scene mirrors, a
soft Tonneau, a welded-in roll pan, and tailgate handle filler
with flip kit. It has lots of billet and stainless steel trim
inside and under the hood... a CAI, Ravin exhaust and Superchips

Truck of the Month February 2006 Mark Cornell-Dallas/Ft. Worth area - Forum name: “HemiSuperBee” “I have been a huge Mopar Nut since I knew what a motor vehicle was. I was too young to own a 60's or 70's Hemi, so when DC announced the new 5.7 Hemi, I knew I had to have one. I have been in the automobile business for 18 years now and have not driven another vehicle that is as much fun to drive as the Hemi Ram... you literally have to pry me out of the seat of this thing
I have been taking a different approach when
dressing up my truck from the other members. The plan for my
truck was to combine old Mopar with new Mopar. Some of my
favorite mods include the '68 Super Bee stripe across the tail.
The '69 "Coyote Duster" air cleaner decal under the hood. True
dual exhaust with "E" Body style exhaust tips. A Gaylord's
Speedsturr Tonneau Cover that resembles the Cuda AAR &
Challenger T/A spoiler, and what old Mopar would not be complete
without a hood scoop - thus the SRT-10 hood.” |

And with an SRT-10 hood, ground effects running boards, custom

And with the custom leather interior, it's still the ride of

Truck of the Month August 2005 03' Hemi Ram 1500 Quad Cab Curtis Gress, Clearwater FL Forum name: “MoneyHSK” Why do I deserve August truck of the Month? Because my birthday is in August, and everyone in the Club loves me!
Bought my truck in April of 04 with 9,000
miles on it. I was looking at a 2004 Neon SRT-4 or a 04 Dakota. Test
drove this truck, and drove away with it no questions asked! Joined the
HTC soon after, and loved getting as much info about mods as possible.
Got my K&N CAI first, then the Gibson Super Truck exhaust. Then lowered
the rear with spring clamps, and finally got my Superchips programmer.
I have done some personal touch stuff as well. Love how everyone's
trucks are very personal and reflect the owner! Many plans to come! |

Truck of the Month WOW!May 2005 Calendar Cover 2006 Jared Martin – Tomball, Texas. Post name: “Motohead” The truck started life as a replacement for the family hauler: a 2001 Ford Exploder. However, after selling the family hot rod (2002 SS Camaro), my attention quickly turned to making this 5400# sled as quick as possible. Anyone can make a pony car fast, right? The challenge of pushing this school bus down the 1320 in a respectable time was all too enticing, especially when you’re starting with a hemispherical-headed 5.7 Mopar mill – the alpha small block. I started with the common first mod for all HEMI performance nuts: a CAI from aFe. This little taste of performance snowballed into some serious hardware. The folks at Bassani sent me a pair of their long-tube headers coupled with their aft-cat system, which is a one in/ two out combination exiting in front of the rear tire. Though they provided a noticeable gain, I was still not happy with the performance, and like a junky I quickly turned to my old ways and hit the bottle. As the undisputed reigning King of bang for the buck mods, a Zex nitrous oxide kit quickly put a smile on my face. In the beginning, I took baby steps running only the 75-shot jets without a bottle heater, which only put a modest 40hp and 72 ft./lbs. torque down on the chassis dyno. However, that 40hp was good enough to take nine-tenths off of my ET propelling this aerodynamically-challenged beast down the quarter in a respectable 14.6 seconds with zero traction in first gear. Realizing the stock 545RFE converter was robbing me of many horses and ear-to-ear grins, I swapped it out for an APS 2400 stall converter. This modification is second only to the N2O in terms of bang for the buck. Most recently added is a Nitrous Express bottle heater and pressure transducer to keep the bottle at right pressure without having to constantly monitor it. To say the least, a heated bottle is a night and day difference from running a cold bottle. The pressurized nitrous enters the intake with much more velocity resulting in a torque generating, tire melting hit. Topping it all off is the Comp Cams XE268 camshaft and Comp 26918 spring kit. This mod is money well spent if for nothing more than the nasty sound letting Chebby and Furd boys know they should not make eye contact and turn off as soon as possible, but it also makes excellent power to boot. Not only did the cam increase power, it increased torque significantly complimenting the stall converter well resulting in a harder launch. To get the big sheep up on the back tires and planting its footprint solidly, Comp Engineering Drag Shocks (thanks Hemi777!!) were added to the front and the thick, heavy front sway bar was removed. With the engine and drive train modifications in place to push this little Ram down the quarter in a decent time, the focus shifted to aesthetic modifications. The first of which was the 20”x9” Kaizer Elude wheels shaving some weight off each corner in addition to adding a custom look. The Lo Rider tonneau and Line-X spray-in liner were added to ensure I was prepared for any load. Street Scene Speed Grills were clipped-in replacing the factory black inserts. A custom lowering kit was fabbed by the guys at Cutten Customs using F150 front springs and compressed OE springs and shackles in the rear. To smooth out the rear end of the truck and to save weight, the rear bumper was swapped for a Sir Michaels steel roll pan, which required removing the factory hitch – even more weight shed. Unfortunately, losing weight in the rear gave the truck a little more rake than I’m happy with, but I think removing the helper springs should get me back to near level. Early this year, Ssycho and I decided to get a little more serious and turn the truck into a full-bore weekend vehicle/ show truck. So I called up my buddy Art at Henson, Cory at Kustom Werx paint, and renowned graphic artist Pat Maxwell with a game plan. I also contacted Terry at Proglass-Profinish to discuss the availability of the Shaker hood he has fabricated for a couple SEMA vehicles. The result is as you see here: SRT10 front bumper, functional Shaker hood, Street Scene rocker moldings, and Street Scene Sport Mirrors. Kustom Werx wet-sanded the entire truck then handed the keys over to Maxwell. Maxwell added the House of Kolor Kandy purple flames outlined by his own homemade shade of Glow Green then airbrushed them to give it a 3D effect. Once Maxwell was done, the truck was trailered back up to Kustom Werx where six coats of clear were added and the entire truck was wet-sanded and buffed. Moving on into the interior, the factory dark slate cloth seating just simply didn’t do the truck justice any longer. Texas Auto Trim installed the two-tone Katzkin leather covers. The black leather with gray suede inserts pulls the whole truck together nicely. The finishing touch is the chrome HEMI badges sewn onto the top of the seat back. Other interior modifications include the Auto Meter three-gauge pod mounted under the A/C head unit housing the N2O and fuel pressure gauges in addition to an oil temperature gauge to keep tabs on the monster within. Billet highlights such as the A/C knobs, SRT10 lock rod knobs, rear view mirror and cigarette lighter complete the look. The final touch is the Audiobahn sound system (or Audiobling as Dan the Nice Guy refers to it). A 300-watt amplifier drives the two 6x9 and two 5” speakers in the doors using the factory head unit and was fine-tuned by none other than HTC’s own Dan, the Nice Guy at last year’s HTC.com Rally. Other fun mods include: hinged billet bottle brackets, custom painted bottle to match exterior of the truck, line lock, remote Tonneau lift, shaved Tonneau lock, remote starter, custom kill switch, monochromatic handles, and illuminated nitrous purge.
More mods planned – it never ends.

Truck of the Month April 2005 Doug Conner – Emory, Texas. Post name: “Rancher” '04 Hemi Ram 1500 Reg Cab, Short Bed
My 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 (HEMI) has many subtle modifications… ranging
from Rams Head covers on the license plate screws, to LED accent lights
under the hood and dash. Of all the modifications I have made, I think
the ones that have drawn the most reaction are the SRT hood and 60" Line
of Fire lights under the tailgate. I take great pride in the fact that
the awesome Hemi engine sets Hemi owners apart from a world of great
looking Dodge trucks. I strive to enhance the appearance by adding
billet and polished stainless steel to the engine compartment every
chance I get. |

Truck of the Month February 2005 Rob - Virginia Beach, VA Post name: "WydOpen" 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4wd Rumble Bee - Second Swarm No. 0222 Major Mods - Factory Rumble Bee Mods - GSM/Paxton Supercharger - ProPod A-Pillar & Autometer Gauges - Flowmaster 40 Muffler - Street Scene Speed Grille - 15% Window Tint I purchased my truck just before Thanksgiving of 2004. Traded in a 2004 Cadillac Escalade AWD for my Rumble Bee with no regrets. I've owned a lot of trucks in the past... mostly Fords, one GMC, and an older model Dodge Ram, but this has to be my favorite of them all. The stock Hemi is fun to drive and the GSM/Paxton supercharger is just icing on the cake. In the near future, I'm looking at a custom cylinder head port and polish job, Dynatech SuperMaxx system, and a cam swap when one becomes available. I'm also looking at some lighter 20" wheels, cowl hood, RB1 Navigation, and a Katzkin leather interior.
It is an honor being awarded the first Truck of the Month award.
Thanks goes out to this board and its members on the great information
and product reviews that have helped me out in my current and future
mods! |
